Bond Scheme

What is the Bond service?

The Bond service is something that has been around for quite some years. The bond service is a way of helping people to access the private rented sector and find a suitable home.

There are many good quality, affordable properties in desirable areas that will make a good home. However for some people finding a deposit is the only thing that stops them renting privately. This is where the bond service can help.

The “bond” is a paper bond up to a maximum value of £500 against damage. Many Landlords are happy to accept this paper bond where a customer cannot provide a cash bond/deposit themselves. The bond can be claimed against by the Landlord where the tenant causes damage to the property.

To be eligible for a bond you must meet one of the following criteria;
